Not just serving scoops...

The only thing that rivals David Berlin’s passion for serving the best frozen custard is his passion for serving his local community. Since the opening of Whit's Frozen Custard of Fort Mill in 2019, owner David Berlin has been committed to dishing up great custard but also committed to actively looking for ways to contribute to his community in a meaningful way.

American Cancer Society

One of the organizations that David has chosen to support is the American Cancer Society. This has been an extremely relevant and personal choice for David and the Whit’s family, as David’s mother recently lost her battle with lung cancer.

Autism Speaks is another organization that David has chosen to embrace and support, as there are several staff members currently working at the Fort Mill location who are on the spectrum. Whether through their partnership with Fort Mill High School and the Pink Out Restaurant Wars or their participation in Spirit Days benefiting Team Lucas in the local Autism Speaks Walk, David and his team display daily what it means to support your community and lead by example.

As an organization, Whit’s is extremely proud of David and the Fort Mill franchise for investing in the lives of those in and around their community. We take great pride in our product, which we believe is the BEST and FRESHEST frozen custard around. However, we take even more pride in our franchise owners who realize that the people we serve make it worth the hard work and we realize our customers and communities ultimately make our success possible.
